After spending most of his formative training with HC Litvinov in his native Czech Republic, he moved to the Ontario Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs to better prepare for life in the National Hockey League. Has a knack for getting open in prime scoring areas and he knows what to do with the biscuit once it is on his blade. Also displays outstanding speed, which helps him to both create offense and to forecheck the opposition. Lacks optimum size for the NHL game so he needs to get stronger in order to maximize production. Can play both center and wing, which adds to his overall value at the highest level.
