Yurov has reportedly turned down a contract extension with KHL club Magnitogorsk Metallurg in favor of making the jump to the NHL next year, per RG Media.

Yurov agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension with his KHL team Magnitogorsk Metallurg on Tuesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Yurov was selected first overall by the 24th in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft on Thursday.
