The smallish defenseman is an effortless skater who is constantly in motion, with or without the puck. He thinks and plays the game at a fast pace. Is willing to block shots and swallow up puck carriers in the neutral zone, and he is terrific at escaping his own zone. Can run a power play with aplomb, too. Adding more bulk and keeping up with the more physical aspects of the NHL will be his constant challenges.
