He allowed two goals on eight shots, and head coach Craig Berube decided to attempt to jumpstart the team. Steve Mason took over, and played for the first time since Feb. 8.
Zepp faced just seven shots through two periods, and ultimately allowed two goals on 22 shots. He came up big in the shootout, stopping both of Nashville's attempts. Zepp is now 4-1-0, but with Steve Mason likely returning to the lineup next week, Zepp will be sent back down to Lehigh Valley.
He did suffer his first loss this season, but he allowed just one goal on 26 shots as the Flyers lost to the Capitals, 1-0. Zepp is 2-1-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .910 save percentage in three starts.
Steve Mason will likely be sidelined for two weeks, leaving Ray Emery and Zepp to man the net. Zepp allowed three goals in a win during his career debut on Dec. 21 against the Jets. He will face a much tougher test Monday night.
