Gortz was traded to Anaheim in exchange for Andrew O'Brien on Thursday.

Gortz has a chance to see some time at the NHL level next season, according to Dean Evason, coach of the Milwaukee Admirals. "He's close to getting a shot," Evason said of Gortz, "but in order for him to get that shot, he just needs one more gear in his stride. He'll find that this summer."

Gortz scored a goal and two assists for the AHL Milwaukee Admirals in a 3-0 win over Grand Rapids on Tuesday. It was his third consecutive three-point game, and he now owns a seven-game scoring streak, accumulating 12 points over that span.
