Slepyshev signed a two-year contract extension with CSKA Moscow on Thursday, Igor Eronko of Sport-Express reports.
According to general manager Ken Holland, the club has offered Slepyshev a contract in hopes of signing him ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
The Oilers have offered Slepyshev a qualifying offer.
Slepyshev found the back of the net in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.
Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli is fielding trade offers for Slepyshev, Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The Oilers recalled Slepyshev from AHL Bakersfield on Tuesday.
Slepyshev was sent down to AHL Bakersfield on Monday.
Slepyshev (lower body) was activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's matchup with Boston, per the NHL media site.
