The veteran defenseman is capable of matching up against an opponent's top scorers and is the kind of player a team wants on the ice when trying to hold a lead late in the game. He skates well, has plenty of size and strength, and is capable of playing an effective 20-plus minutes most nights. Will not generate a lot of offense but is a good leader and solid presence in the locker room.
