Possessed amazing puck skills and offensive instincts. Skated extremely well and was also not afraid of playing in high-traffic areas. Was equally successful at playmaking and sniping (at all levels). Did not have ideal size for the National Hockey League game. Lacked consistency. Also, his physical game did not always keep opponents honest; he used to get hit more often than he dished it out.
