Is very small for a defenseman by NHL standards, but he makes up for the lack of size with consistency and versatility--he can play either side and has enough skating ability to fill in up front. Produced good offensive numbers in both college hockey and the AHL. Can skate the puck out of trouble and even chip in on the power play. His problems come in his own zone, where his lack of size can be a liability.
Long Range Potential: Offensive depth defenseman.
