Ranford signed a one-year contract with Berlin Eisbaren of the DEL league in Germany on Friday.

The Coyotes traded Ranford to the Avalanche on Wednesday in exchange for Joe Whitney.

Ranford was recalled from AHL Tucson on Wednesday.

Ranford was acquired via trade from the Stars on Wednesday along with Branden Troock in exchange for Justin Peters and Justin Hache.

Ranford signed a one-year contract with the Stars on Tuesday.

Ranford was one of four skaters recalled from AHL Texas on Thursday.

Brendan Ranford has inked an entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars. Ranford joined the AHL Texas Stars last season and stepped up in the playoffs with eight goals and 16 points in 21 games. He was originally taken in the seventh round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, but they never signed him.

Brendan Ranford has stepped up in the playoffs in his first AHL season. Ranford had 12 goals and 33 points in 65 regular season games with AHL Texas. He's added another seven goals and 10 points in 16 playoff contests to help guide the team to the Calder Cup Final. He was originally taken by the Philadelphia Flyers with the second last pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
