Arnold signed a one-year (two-way), $824,000 contract with the Sabres on Tuesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Bill Arnold has been focused on losing a bit of weight to get faster.
Arnold, who is 6-foot-0, has gone from 205 pounds during the 2013-14 campaign to 197 now. "I feel a little faster. The feet are a little faster, and my conditioning is better than it has been in the past," Arnold said. "But I don't want to get too excited about it, because I've still got two big months of summer that I have to keep working really hard for." Arnold had 14 goals and 53 points in 40 games with Boston College last season and was also solid without the puck. He's a bit of a long shot to make the team's opening game roster, but his defensive abilities might lead to him getting in as a bottom-six forward.
