Carruth signed a one-year contract with the Blackhawks on Tuesday.

Mac Carruth has been called up by the Chicago Blackhawks. Carruth was presumably summoned to help out in practices, as there's no chance that he will be asked to start in a playoff game. The 22-year-old had a 3.38 GAA and .893 save percentage in 32 ECHL contests in 2013-14.

Goalie prospect Mac Carruth was assigned to Rockford of the AHL. He will likely get plenty of playing time in the minors, and given his strong effort in Portland of the WHL last season (2.36 GAA, .929 SP), he should do just fine. Carruth is a year or two away from being a fantasy factor.
