The Winnipeg Jets have inked Carl Klingberg to a one-year, two-way contract.
Klingberg will come with a $650,000 annual cap hit if he plays in the NHL. He had 22 goals and 21 assists in 65 AHL games in 2013-14.
Carl Klingberg has been returned to the AHL St. John's IceCaps.
Winnipeg's season is over, but the IceCaps will be heading to the playoffs. Klingberg had a goal in three games with Winnipeg this season.

He will play Monday because Dustin Byfuglien (upper body) is done for the rest of the season. "My job is to skate hard, be smart out there, and I think it's gonna be good," Klingberg said. "It's exciting, real exciting. It's a long time since I last played (in the NHL), so it's gonna be a lot of fun." He doesn't have a point in seven career NHL appearances.
Winnipeg has recalled Carl Klingberg.
He has notched 11 goals and seven assists in 33 games with the Jets' AHL affiliate in St. John's. It isn't clear if he'll play Thursday night.

Klingberg notched 23 points in 66 games with the St. John's IceCaps last season. Joining him in the minors will be defensemen Ben Chiarot and Julian Melchiori as well as goaltender Michael Hutchinson.
Carl Klingberg was called up from the minors on Friday January 18.
