Remains one of the NHL's best skaters: smooth and swift with outstanding acceleration and great mobility. Can carry the puck out of trouble or hit forwards in stride with breakout passes. Is an asset both on the power play and while killing penalties because of his speed. Is not really physical in his own zone but his all-around play makes him a good fit with partners of various styles.
