Bourque will hang up his skates and call it a career, the Connecticut Post reports.

Bourque was traded to the Capitals on Sunday for forward Chris Brown.

Ryan Bourque was among those cut from the New York Rangers' training camp roster on Wednesday. Bourque had eight goals and 15 points in 53 AHL games last season. The Rangers also sent Josh Nicholls, Brendon Nash, and Michael St. Croix to AHL Hartford.
