The prolific hitting defenseman was more than willing to drop the gloves when needed to defend a teammate, but he could also move the puck and play an efficient game. Struggled when asked to do too much because he was not much of an offensive producer. His physical style of play over the years took a massive toll on his body, so injuries were a constant concern. In fact, injuries ended his NHL career.
