Washington has acquired Chay Genoway from Minnesota in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2014. He has recorded 19 points, including 15 assists, and a plus-11 rating in 53 games with the Wild's AHL affiliate in Houston this campaign. The 26-year-old defenseman has skated in one NHL game in his career and it came last year. Genoway will report to Washington's minor-league club in Hershey.
