Is clearly an offense-first type of defenseman. He is still excellent with the puck on his stick and can often behave like a fourth forward thanks to his superb mobility and offensive instincts. Is also quite handy on the power play. It is his defensive skills and lack of consistency that keep him from being among the top flight of NHL defensemen.
