Cannata -- who was up with the Avs as an emergency third goalie -- was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Tuesday, TSN reports.

Cannata inked a one-year contract with Colorado on Monday.

Cannata was waived by the Avalance on Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sportsreports.

Cannata signed a one-year, two-way contract with Colorado on Saturday.

Cannata was traded from the Capitals to the Avalanche on Wednesday in exchange for defenseman Cody Corbett.

Cannata was waived by Washington for the purpose of reassignment Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Cannata was reassigned to AHL Utica on Thursday.

The Canucks are set to recall Cannata from the minors.

Joe Cannata has agreed to terms with the Vancouver Canucks. Cannata had a 2.83 GAA and .907 save percentage in 28 AHL games in 2013-14. He'll start next season in the minors and it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend the entire campaign at that level.

Joe Cannata will serve as Vancouver's backup netminder in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against San Jose. He was called up by the Canucks last week when Cory Schneider was hurt. He will occupy the bench, with Roberto Luongo in goal until Schneider is able to return.
