Dmitry Korobov has agreed to a two-year contract with KHL Atlant. Korobov had 26 points and 64 penalty minutes in 71 AHL games in 2013-14. He also got his first taste of NHL action, registering an assist in three contests with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Dmitry Korobov was re-assigned to Syracuse of the AHL following Sunday's game. The rookie defenseman recorded his first NHL point in the Lightning's 4-3 loss to the Rangers and was rewarded with a demotion. With Sami Salo and Eric Brewer recovering nicely from injuries Korobov was no longer needed in Tampa. He will likely be the first call up should the Bolts find themselves short on the blueline due to injury.

Dmitry Korobov played well against the Canadiens Saturday night. The young defenseman had a yoyo type of day. He was called up from the AHL, then sent down and then re-called in time to play against the Habs Saturday night. Tampa coach Jon Cooper was pleased with Korobov's effort. Korobov has some offensive potential as evidenced by his 12 points in 26 AHL games this season. That said, we don't expect much from him from a fantsasy perspective this year.
