Played a mature game with two-way tendencies. Was a natural leader with a great frame for the National Hockey League. Could shut down opponents. Excelled at scoring goals off the rush down the right side of the ice. Lacked some confidence in the offensive zone, and deferred to his linemates a bit too much. Lacked passing skills for the center position. Injuries were a huge factor throughout his career, and it was the reason for his premature retirement. | |
Long Range Potential: | Solid two-way forward (when healthy). |
