The No. 11 overall pick in the 2006 draft never quite lived up to expectations, despite solid tools. Had good reflexes and took up more of the net than his 6'0" frame indicated. At his best, his positioning was sound and he let the game come to him. Once he hit his 30s, he was good enough to earn a job in the NHL but inconsistency (and later injury) made him a better bet as a backup than a starter.
