Gryba announced his retirement from the NHL on Sunday.

Gryba was called up from AHL Binghamton on Thursday.

Gryba will be designated for waivers by the Devils on Thursday, Corey Masisak of The Athletic reports.

Gryba secured a one-year, two-way contract with the Devils on Sunday. The deal is worth $700,000 in the NHL and $300,000 in the AHL, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.

Gryba was waived unconditionally by the Oilers on Thursday in order to buyout his contract.

The Oilers placed Gryba on waivers for the purpose of assignment Friday.

Gryba picked up his first two points of the season in Saturday's win over Calgary.
