The playmaker had excellent vision and hockey sense, and he was quick rather than fast at the National Hockey League level. Could play either wing or center. At 5�10�, 189 pounds, he was smallish by NHL standards. Staying healthy was a problem for him at times. Excelled in front of the opponents' crease, particularly on the power play.
