Colorado has signed Marc-Andre Cliche to a two-year contract extension.
Forecaster Impact
According to capgeek.com, the deal is worth $700,000 per season. "Marc-Andre has been a solid addition to our hockey club," executive vice president of hockey operations Joe Sakic said in a team release. "He has done a tremendous job on the penalty kill, has a great work ethic and we're excited to have him under contract for the next two years." In 53 games this season, Cliche has recorded six points.

It was only Cliche's second NHL game of his career as he has spent most of the last six seasons in the minors. He saw fourth line minutes as he replaced John Mitchell who moved up to the first line to replace the injured Gabriel Landeskog. Cliche has no fantasy value but it's a good story that at the age of 26 he is finally getting a shot in the NHL.
