The Coyotes are converting Mark Louis to a winger. The 26-year-old has been a defenseman, but the team likes "his size, strength and skating," according t the Arizona Republic's Sarah McLellan. General manager Don Maloney liked what he saw Saturday. Louis had three assists and 111 penalty minutes in the AHL last season.

Mark Louis has agreed to a two-year, two-way contract with the Phoenix Coyotes. Louis recorded three points and 111 penalty minutes in 61 games with AHL Portland last season. He isn't expected to have any fantasy value next season.
