Scouting Report
Could log big minutes and was adept at shutting opponents down. Had a very solid frame, grit and some puck-moving ability. Gave his all every time he hit the ice. Blocked shots with aplomb. Did not own high-end offensive acumen or the ability to quarterback a power play, so that limited his overall production in the NHL. Also, he lacked consistency in the physicality department. A left-handed shot, he was more comfortable playing right defense at the highest level. He was an inspirational leader by example and a born winner.
Long Range Potential: Excellent shutdown defenseman.
