Played a well-rounded game with streaky offensive acumen, so he could be used as a top-six forward. Had size and decent hands. Was usually a reliable player in the NHL. Did not use his 6-3, 208-pound frame nearly enough to his advantage in the NHL, and generally lacked physicality and aggression. Was somewhat prone to injury, too.
