Kostitsyn signed a two-year contract with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the KHL on Monday, Igor Eronko of Sport-Express reports.

Andrei Kostitsyn was suspended for one game at the IIHF World Hockey Championships in Belarus. Kostitsyn, who is playing for the host country Belarus, checked American Kevin Donovan from behind and delivered a two-handed cross-check to the head and neck area in Friday's 6-1 loss to the U.S. Kostitsyn's NHL rights are owned by the Panthers.

Andrei Kostitsyn was signed by NAS on Friday January 18.

Andrei Kostitsyn might not join the Florida Panthers' training camp despite their interest in him. Kostitsyn is playing in the KHL and hasn't responded to Panthers GM Dale Tallon's attempts to reach him. Kostitsyn has 20 points and 68 penalty minutes in 38 KHL contests this season.

According to RDS, Andrei Kostitsyn will get a look from the Florida Panthers at training camp. The Panthers will also have Marek Svatos and Alexei Kovalev at camp, according to multiple reports. Kostitsyn played 72 games between Montreal and Nashville last season and he registered 36 points. He became an unrestricted free agent in the summer and signed a one-year deal with Traktor Chelyabinsk of the KHL, where he has produced 12 goals and 20 points in 37 games this year.
