Excelled in a defensive role and was also underrated offensively. Much like his father Thomas, he owned excellent on-ice awareness and hockey sense. Possessed two-way ability and was also fairly creative. A good skater, he improved his intensity level over time in terms of fighting through opponents' physical play. Lacked some game-to-game consistency in the offensive zone from time to time. Could go through big dry spells in the goal-scoring department. He did not always hit the net regularly when shooting the puck. Was rather prone to injury, and in the end a chronic back injury forced him to retire prematurely. | |
Long Range Potential: | Quality, versatile two-way forward (when healthy). |
