Moved very well for a 6'5", 224-pound defender and owned good shutdown qualities. Was capable of logging big minutes and could play on either side of the ice. Was at his best when killing penalties. Did not use his huge frame enough to his advantage, which limited his effectiveness. Was somewhat timid in the offensive zone, too. Was mostly a stay-at-home defenseman after his very early years (when he would be far more adventurous in the attacking zone). | |
