| Excelled under pressure. Had great anticipation and could make spectacular saves look routine. Extremely competitive, he performed at a very high level in just about every league or tournament he played in. Took away most of the bottom of the net and had spectacular lateral movement. Could be beaten upstairs by NHL shooters, since he was usually very deep in his crease to take away the lower part of the net. Could also wear down if overused (later on in his career). Did not move as quickly when leaving the crease as some elite netminders and was only average when handling the puck. A heart condition put an abrupt end to an otherwise awesome NHL career. | |
