Was capable of playing a shutdown role, due to a combination of hockey sense, mobility and an aggressive nature. Also had a little offensive acumen. The good team player always worked extremely hard and sacrificed his body. Did not take enough shots to be a key contributor at the point on the power play, nor did he take full advantage of his skill set on offense. At times, he could be overly aggressive when lining players up for the big hit. Injuries were a factor.
Long Range Potential: Solid defenseman.
