Had as much skill as anyone on the ice. Played a very patient game with the puck. Set up his linemates with aplomb and scored highlight-reel goals. A stickhandling magician, he also possessed outstanding defensive instincts. He was among the best players of all time at taking the puck away from opponents. Had a slight frame and could struggle more against physical defenders. Furthermore, he had a tendency to wear down by the end of a lengthy NHL campaign, which is partly why he finished his playing days in the KHL. Also had trouble avoiding injuries. | |
