According to his agent Dan Milstein, Amirov (illness) has passed away at the age of 21.

Amirov is undergoing further treatment for a brain tumor, per agent Dan Milstein.

Amirov is expected to train with the Maple Leafs at some point following his last round of chemotherapy to treat a brain tumor, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports Wednesday.

It was announced Wednesday that Amirov was diagnosed with a brain tumor and will miss the rest of the KHL season, Sportsnet reports.
