The first player taken in the 2019 NHL Draft is an elite skater: a rare combination of speed and quickness who can make outstanding plays at high speed. He wasted little time showing how dynamic he can be at the highest level. His biggest issue is a lack of strength, though he has added some muscle since coming to the NHL; he still has a way to go to be able to deal with the pounding elite players take on a nightly basis.
