Snubbed in the 2019 NHL Draft, he seemed to take it personally judging from his 2019-20 numbers with the OHL's Guelph Storm (he led the league in save percentage and placed third in goals-against average). Owns great size and the mobility to go with it, so he displays the attributes of today's prototypical NHL goaltender. His style in the crease area is very relaxed and fundamental, although at times he can be guilty of overcommitting on a play (especially when the game becomes a bit scrambly). His prospect status rose dramatically after he lost weight and became a more dedicated athlete.
