The Russian defenseman arrived in North America during his formative years as a teenager before returning overseas. The late-blooming rearguard is capable of holding down a regular job in the NHL, when healthy. He is at his best when he keeps things simple and may be best on a pairing with an offensive-minded partner. He moves the puck well and has NHL size, though he is still learning how to use it effectively. Injuries can be an issue for him. | |
