Though he went undrafted at the National Hockey League level, he was discovered because of a strong showing in the KHL (following several years of development as a member of the Magnitogorsk organization). Has a tall, lanky frame and good athleticism for the crease area. Can make spectacular saves on occasion, but lacks game-to-game consistency. Could also stand to add more bulk and get physically stronger so as to maximize output at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Solid goaltender with a little upside.
