Has shown in junior hockey and the AHL that he can provide offense from the blueline, thanks to his ability to jump into the play, control the puck and quarterback a power play. He has good hockey smarts and a big-league point shot, but does not have the kind of speed that would help him overcome a lack of size. He has to get stronger and improve his play without the puck.
