Has a projectable frame and the defensive chops to do a lot of the heavy lifting in a checking role (at all levels). A natural center, he can also play wing (which adds to his overall value in the National Hockey League). Lacks offensive imagination and is restricted in his ability to produce points at the highest level, so he is more of a role player and bottom-six forward. Also lacks the hands of a pure sniper.
