Scouting Report
The Russian goaltender wasted little time staking his claim as one of the NHL's best netminders. He has great instincts and reflexes, and he reads plays as well as any goaltender in the world. Also has tremendous lateral movement and quickness, as well as an excellent glove hand and the ability to track the puck in traffic. His one drawback has been injuries: he is 6'1" but not terribly strong, so he will have to add strength to become a workhorse capable of playing 60-65 games per season at the NHL level.
Long Range Potential: Elite goaltender (when healthy).
