The Sharks didn't extend Donaghey a qualifying offer Tuesday, which means he'll become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Donaghey was packaged off to San Jose -- along with Mike Hoffman and a 2020 fifth-round pick -- in a trade for Mikkel Boedker, Julius Bergman and a 2020 sixth-round selection.

Donaghey was included as part of the nine-player trade that sent Dion Phanauf to the Senators in exchange for Milan Michalek and Jared Cowen.
