The smallish Russian forward returned to the NHL after three seasons in the KHL, where he was much more of an offensive force. He is fast, physical for his size, defensively responsible and a penalty-killing option at the highest level. His hockey vision and IQ are first-rate, as is his work ethic. Still must prove himself as a consistent point producer in the NHL.
