Beck is a solid AHL scorer who has yet to find his way at the NHL level (despite several attempts with three different teams). He might get a shot later this season or perhaps in 2016-17. For what they gave up, this is a good gamble by Colorado.

Cliche is a dependable defensive forward, so he brings a completely different skill set to the organization than Beck. For now, Cliche will probably remain in the AHL but might see more NHL time if injuries pile up in Brooklyn.

Beck remains a major fantasy dark horse, but should not be picked up unless/until he receives the call back up to the NHL. Cliche has no fantasy value whatsoever.
