The Athletics placed Acevedo on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left lower back strain.

Acevedo (4-4) earned the extra-inning win with one scoreless inning against the Angels on Monday. He did not allow a hit and walked one with one strikeout.

Acevedo picked up the save in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners. He allowed zero runs on one hit and zero walks while striking out one over one inning.

Acevedo recorded his second save in a win over the Astros on Saturday, allowing one hit over a scoreless ninth inning.

Acevedo earned a save against the Rangers on Wednesday, retiring the only batter he faced via strikeout.
