Brewers general manager Matt Arnold said Wednesday that Gasser underwent traditional Tommy John surgery Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Brewers transferred Gasser (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

"[Wade] Miley, Gasser and [Brandon Woodruff], you're probably not going to see," Murphy said. "It would probably be safe to say those three are out for the year."

Gasser (elbow) told reporters this weekend that his left UCL is not "broken" but also "not as strong as it should be," Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

The second opinion Gasser received on his left elbow Friday conflicted with the first, so he's scheduled to visit a third doctor, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
