| Was a notoriously good, first-pitch fastball hitter. Could terrorize both right-handers as well as southpaws when he got hot with the bat. Also owned a very good arm in the outfield, plus he played savvy defense (he could play all three outfield positions). His frequent trips to the disabled list hurt his production as well as his range in the outfield. Injuries also forced him to cut down on his stolen-base attempts as he got older. Was a tad too streaky. | |
