A switch-hitting catcher, he offers tremendous value because he makes consistent contact from both sides of the plate. Owns a decent throwing arm, too. Is not much of a speed merchant, predictably, and he is also a work-in-progress receiver and defensive catcher. Lacks optimum power for a catcher in MLB.
