The Blue Jays add a solid, versatile veteran right-hander here in Feldman, someone who will probably be used in a long-relief role to start out (but who can also be a candidate to start, if required). This is a short-term move.

In Chavez, the Astros land an 18-year-old right-hander with big long-range upside (in exchange for a veteran pitcher who had been pitching out of the bullpen for Houston). This was a great deal for 'Stros management.

If Feldman had any fantasy value, it won't change in Toronto. Neither the Astros nor the Blue Jays play in pitcher-friendly parks, so his value is negligible. As for Chavez, he should now be on the fantasy radar in keeper leagues but is several years away from fantasy prominence.
